Yoasobi at Radio City Music Hall

If you haven’t already heard, YOASOBI is a group that crafts “music from novels”. The J-pop duo is made up of composer Ayase and vocalist Ikura. Also joining the duo are band members Zacro Misohagi (keyboards, backing vocals), AssH (guitar), Honogumo (drums), as well as Hikaru Yamamoto (bass guitar), and occasionally guitarist Satoru Taguchi and drummer Tatsuya Amano lend their unreal talent to the squad. Formed in 2019, YOASOBI dropped their first single “Into The Night" released in November of that year. By December 2021, their debut had clocked more than 700 million streams and it's peaked at the coveted No.1 spot on the Billboard Japan Total song charts “HOT 100”. But wait, there’s more… The talented YOASOBI also climbed to No.1 on Spotify’s “most streamed Japanese artist in the overseas market in the year 2021”. Adding to the success, the track “Monster” was picked for ”The 10 Best Songs of 2021” in the U.S. TIME magazine. And guess what?! YOASOBI are only on the rise with their Live In the USA trek coming to major cities from 2023 through 2024. Not to mention their hot new release, E-Side 3. Released on April 12, the EP consists of eight tracks in English.
