From superhero Wolverine to Broadway superstar, Hugh Jackman is back on stage with a new set of shows. 

The Aussie actor and performer will be playing live on stage at the Radio City Music Hall on the 24th of May in the Broadway capital New York City. The Broadway is set to run from April through October with 20 shows in total.

Hugh Jackman - The Award Winning Actor

Hugh Jackman is an Australian actor, producer and singer. Jackman began his career on TV and theatre before landing his first major role as the leading hero Wolverine in the Marvel’s X-Men franchise. He has started in notable movies such as Kate & Leopold (2001), Van Helsing (2004), The Prestige (2006), Australia (2008), Les Misérables the musical (2012), and The Greatest Showman (2017). Jackman’s most prolific theatre and Broadway roles include the Australian productions of Beauty and the Beast, The Boy from Oz, the West End adaptation of Oklahoma!, and The Music Man. 

Jackman’s unique ability to adapt to many diverse roles in some of pop culture’s monument movies and plays has landed him several awards. For his role as Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz, Jackman won the highly respected Tony Award for Best Actor. Jackman’s role of Jean Valjean in 2012’s movie adaptation of Les Misérables honored him with the Golden Globe. For his soundtrack of the 2017 musical biopic The Greatest Showman, Jackman received the Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media in 2019.

Hugh Jackman’s Broadway show “From New York, With Love” is a celebration of the actor’s successful career in a musical form. Jackman, and his small group of musicians and artists, take a look back on his roles through various songs featured in the films and theatre shows. Some featured songs from the list include “Ya Got Trouble,” from his last Broadway The Music Man, “The Greatest Show,” and “Come Alive” from The Greatest Showman, and “Valjean’s Soliloquy” from Les Miserables to name a very few. As well as these, Jackman also performs covers of some non-career-related songs. The production features a beautifully arranged orchestra, backup dancers and singers, and an impressive projection showcasing elaborate visuals in motion and clips of Jackman’s films.
