In support of their seventh album "People Who Aren’t There Anymore", Future Islands is heading back to the road. Kicking off the trek this June, the band is heading to NYC right at Radio City Music Hall on June 20th. Alongside the tour's North American run announcement, the boys just dropped at new music video for "The Thief".

Known for their synth-pop masterpieces with their ability to produce catchy synths and melodic bass hooks, Future Islands caught the attention of the alt-rock crowd. They've become known to go all out in their live shows. Back in 2014, the Baltimore-based band performed their single "Seasons (Waiting On You)" on The Late Show With David Letterman. Though their fanbase was familiar with the band's aggressive stage acts, Letterman was astounded, and the world soon got hooked on the boys. It was a viral hit! Fans soon flocked to see the boys live on stage.

Ten years later, they're on their seventh album now. Future Islands returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater where it all began. Though Letterman wasn't there anymore, they celebrated a decade of rockin' it all out since that viral gig. "I don’t remember actually performing the song. I was so overcome with the moment that I blacked out…" Herring told Stereogum in an interview, talking about that iconic moment on TV. "It was a life-changing moment, and it took me years to see the way that it opened up my life."

"People Who Aren’t There Anymore" shares the band's newest bangers - "Peach", "King of Sweden", "Deep in the Night", "The Tower", "The Fight", "Say Goodbye". The day before the album dropped, the band performed "The Tower" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. A decade since that iconic moment in time, Future Islands have remained the same. Though they've aged throughout the years, their fighting spirit in every performance carries on. He finished the song with a signature spin-move, the man's still got the wild side alive and kickin'!

Every Future Islands song is praised for the emotions it highlights and makes listeners feel in every note. Since that performance of "Seasons (Waiting on You)", fans can agree that every beat strikes through, with their succeeding hit singles "Ran", "For Sure", and "Plastic Beach" rockin' the scene.

"This is the best album they’ve ever made," Chris Coady, producer of Future Islands' 7th LP, said via The Washington Post. "It’s a combination of the drama and action of the albums before, but there’s also this emotional availability." It's worth noting that this man produced their breakout album "Singles" released in 2014.

Now, as the band's music continues to rock the stage, don't miss out on Future Islands' "People Who Aren't There Anymore" tour, happening at Radio City Music Hall, by booking your tickets now!
