Faye Webster at Radio City Music Hall

This year, Faye Webster dropped a new album, and the 70s-tinged alt-country sounds are a dream! The title of the Atlanta twentysomething’s album is inspired by her occasional desire to lose herself among fellow concertgoers at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Looking for company and distraction but also merging into the anonymity of a crowd, Faye Webster admits that she often booked her ticket to a show at the very last second. “Going to the symphony was almost like therapy for me,” she says. “I was quite literally underdressed at the symphony because I would just decide at the last moment that's what I wanted to do.”

Underdressed at the Symphony is the trailblazer’s follow-up to I Know I’m Funny Haha, which landed in 2021. The mixtape features her childhood buddy Lil Yachty with “Lego Ring.” Between compositions, the star re-imagined material from I Know I’m Funny Haha and its unforgettable predecessor, Atlanta Millionaires Club, alongside classical arrangements for Car Therapy Sessions extended play (2022). This tour comes in support of the new album. Arrived on March 1 through Secretly Canadian, Underdressed at the Symphony boats previously released tracks “But Not Kiss” and “Lifetime.” As well as this colossal North American trek, Faye Webster is also taking to the stage in Oceania, the UK, and Europe in celebration of this amazing new album.

Along the way, Faye Webster has cooked up a truly unique sound that blends country-tinged indie rock with pedal steel guitar and a dash of modern R&B production. Even though the planet may be moving faster and faster and her fanbase is forever growing, Faye Webster continues to make music in an impossibly low-key way for Underdressed at the Symphony. Recorded at Tornillo’s iconic Sonic Ranch Studios with her talented backing band, her fifth studio album relishes in experimentation and playfulness. Don’t miss out!
